The SDG-210 Non nuclear Soil density Gauge is an upgraded product of our company based on the second-generation nuclear-free density meter SDG-200. Operational principle
The coreless density meter measures the dielectric properties and density of compacted soil materials through high-frequency radio between electrodes, and compares the measured dielectric properties with the 'soil module'. The 'soil module' is a specific standard for soil types, which has a set of pre measured specific dielectric properties that represent a series of density and humidity values. After the field measurement is completed, mathematical algorithms will be used to calculate the dry/wet density, moisture content, and compaction percentage. The accompanying temperature sensor can also increase measurement accuracy.
