This DSR dynamic shear rheometer is mainly used to testing the rheological properties of asphalt, such as SHRP (Strategic Highway Research Program) grading measurement, multi stress creep measurement, strain scanning measurement, viscosity measurement, etc. It can be used to measure matrix asphalt, polymer modified asphalt, rubber powder modified asphalt, as well as aged asphalt after pressure aging and rotary film oven treatment. Also it can be used for rheological properties testing of coatings, food, cosmetics, polymers, adhesives, pharmaceuticals, composite materials, etc.
By testing the dynamic shear modulus G * and phase angle s of asphalt, the viscosity (non recoverable) and elasticity (recoverable) properties of aged and unaged asphalt in the temperature range of 5-85 ºC are evaluated, and the ability to resist rutting and fatigue cracking is predicted.
