The QHY Buckholz indentation hardness tester (referred to as indentation tester) is suitable for indentation test of single-layer coating film or multi-layer coating film of paint and varnish. This indenter is only used to measure the resistance to compression of plastically deformed surfaces. The indentation length can be formed when the coating film is pressed under specified conditions using an indenter. The indentation resistance test results are expressed as a function of the reciprocal indentation length. When the performance of the coating film (indentation resistance) is required to increase, the indentation resistance value increases.
