The TPS-50AS thermal conductivity tester can be used to measure the thermal conductivity of different materials, including block solids, metals, liquids, powders, colloids, pastes, films, and insulation materials. Testing principle
The transient planar heat source method is based on the principle of one-dimensional unsteady thermal conduction in a plane: a planar heat source in an infinite medium generates a dynamic temperature field inside the medium after receiving an instantaneous heating pulse in the initial thermal equilibrium state. Using the temperature data generated by the thermal conduction process, a function curve is fitted to calculate the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusion coefficient of the sample.
